Looking for some good jams for the coming summer? We can’t find a whole lot of info about Grynch (not to be confused with emcees Da Grinch, Grinch, Grench or The Grinch), but we’re pretty sure he’s a white emcee from the fuckingawesome Ballard neighborhood in Seattle. His new record, titled Perspective, has been out for a few weeks now and, damn, it’s really good. Every song. And it features Brother Ali and Sol and has album art that reminds of old Blue Note records. Great mellow, funky, buttery smooth hip-hop that, in a weird way, reminds us quite a bit of Warren G’s debut album. You know the one. Mount up …
