A Look Back at Our AotYs and MotYs: 1963-2012

To follow up the big year-end bash we had a couple of weeks ago, we have compiled a list of our Albums of the Year and Movies of the Year for the past 50 years, making for a list of 100 essential works we hope you’ve seen/heard. And, if you haven’t seen/heard them all, we, of course, highly recommend that you do so.

Oops. I maybe screwed up. 1997 is probably Elliott Smith’s Either/Or over Radiohead’s OK Computer. Or a tie. Either way, those are two of my all-time favorite, Top Five-worthy records.

  You had it right, it’s 2012. Not sure why IMDB hasn’t fixed that. Played at a fest in 2011 but wasn’t released until 2012.
